The Music: Terry Everson (NEBB concert master) and Susan Nowicki (piano) received critical acclaim for their 1991 CD of contemporary trumpet literature(The International Trumpet Guild, ITG 001). In their second joint venture, they have gathered an outstanding program of challenging and engaging works that explore the full musical and technical capabilities of both instruments. All the works were written within the the passed twenty years. Choosing the title, Parable, for this CD seems appropriate because each piece tells its own special musical story, sometimes epigrammatically, sometimes in the style of a lyric poem, and several with epic scale. Produced by James Curnow Featuring works by Joseph Turin, Norman Dello Joio, Vincent Persichetti, Jan Krzywicki, Augusta Read Thomas and Robert Suderburg.
